The Way of St Andrew

Over 500 years ago, pilgrims flocked to the shrine of St. Andrew to pay their respects and worship. The relics of St. Andrew were held at this shrine until the Reformation, and eventually, a magnificent cathedral was built in 1318, consecrated in the presence of King Robert the Bruce.
Many of these pilgrims began their journey at the West Port, starting the 6 km St Andrews Circuit. Imagine starting at the Whey Pat Inn, where medieval pilgrims were welcomed with a hot meal, and then embarking on a journey that takes you back in time, unveiling the rich history of St. Andrews.
I hope this historical tidbit piques your interest, and I can't wait to share more about this fascinating discovery. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
